Last weekend it was finally time for the celebration of the 7th lustrum with the theme "The Great Gatsby". It started on the Friday evening with a themed party at The Sunny Beach: a successful start to the lustrum weekend!

The first horse activity was on Saturday: a scare training at Les Chevaux. Walking over a plastic sheet or walking through an arch with colored ribbons was easy for one horse and quite a task for the other, but by the end of the lesson every horse had defied every obstacle.

After this we went for a ride with a group of no less than 18 members(!) at Manege Knollegruun where you could walk straight from the arena into the woods. After enjoying the nature and our horses for almost an hour, the two groups came together by chance and we continued the last part together, which made the ride even more fun.

After all these efforts we had to freshen up for a 3-course dinner at restaurant Goudkantoor. While enjoying several (achum) drinks, all dishes were slaughtered (just to make you jealous, it included: carpaccio, vegetable wraps, beef skewers in dark beer sauce, cod fillet with lemon sauce, mixed grill of vegetables, strawberry panna cotta, etc.). In between we were offered shots by a group of boys one floor below us, who thought that someone had turned 35. Sylvana was the loser who had to pretend to be the birthday girl. The free shot was enjoyed with lots of laughter.

Sunday morning we received a WE clinic from, for some members an old acquaintance, instructor Jennifer from Stal Ter Maars. Some obstacles, like the bell, were easier than others, such as the fence or the bridge. To be repeated!

Finally, we went bowling. Where the strikes and spares flew all over the place, the other would have liked to have had fences. We ended the weekend with some drinks and snacks. On to the next anniversary!
