Lessons
Dressage lessons
The lessons of G.S.P.V Parafrid last one hour. They are organised on Tuesday an Wednesday evenings between 6.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. The lessons are for beginning to advanced riders. You need to be present at the riding school half an hour before the start of the lesson, because then you will be told on which horse you will be riding and the dates for all the fun activities are announced. The board will always be present at lesson evenings to help you find everything and to explain how things are done. Due to the well-being of the horses, we comply a weight limit of 90 kg at the riding school.
It is mandatory to wear an approved safety helmet during the lesson. In terms of clothing, it is best to wear breeches, if you do not wear them then pants that do not rub heavily and in which you can move easily, for example leggings. Shoes with a small heel, at least two centimeters, are mandatory for safety reasons. Do you have questions about the clothing? Feel free to ask the board by sending an email to: bestuur@parafrid.nl.
If you cannot ride, you must cancel your lesson. You can do this by sending the secretary an e-mail to secretaris@parafrid.nl. Cancellation must be done no later than Saturday 21:00 pm, the earlier the better!
Jumping lessons
Approximately once every two weeks, G.S.P.V. Parafrid organises a jumping lesson at Manege De Bongerd in Glimmen. This lesson takes place on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and is intended for intermediate and advanced riders. De Bongerd riding school can be easily reached by public transport.
In the weekly announcements the dates for the upcoming jumping lessons are presented with the day and time in which you can start registering for the jumping lesson. As with the dressage lessons, it is mandatory to wear a cap and shoes with a heel of at least 2 centimeters. In addition, it is mandatory for this lesson to wear a body protector. If you don't have it or can't borrow it from anyone, you can rent one at the riding school.
