Competitions and lessons
The lessons of G.S.P.V Parafrid last one hour. You need to be present at the riding school half an hour before the start of the lesson because then the dates for all fun activities are announced and you get to know which horse you will be riding. If you are having a lesson for the first time or trial lesson, then the board will help you to find everything and will explain how things are done. Due to the well-being of the horses, we comply a weight limit of 90 kg at the riding school.
It is mandatory to wear an approved safety helmet during the lesson. In terms of clothing, it is best to wear breeches, if you do not wear them then pants that do not rub heavily and in which you can move easily, for example leggings. Shoes with a small heel, at least two centimeters, are mandatory for safety reasons. Do you have questions about the clothing? Feel free to ask the board by sending an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you cannot ride, you must cancel your lesson. You can do this by sending the secretary an e-mail to email@example.com. Cancellation must be done no later than Saturday 21:00 pm, the earlier the better!
Approximately once every two weeks, G.S.P.V. Parafrid organises a jumping lesson at Manege De Bongerd in Glimmen. This lesson takes place on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and is intended for intermediate and advanced riders. De Bongerd riding school can be easily reached by public transport.
In the weekly announcements the dates for the upcoming jumping lessons are presented with the day and time in which you can start registering for the jumping lesson. As with the dressage lessons, it is mandatory to wear a cap and shoes with a heel of at least 2 centimeters. In addition, it is mandatory for this lesson to wear a body protector. If you don't have it or can't borrow it from anyone, you can rent one at the riding school.
Parafrid members who would like to participate in competitions have plenty of opportunities to do so at G.S.P.V Parafrid.
These are accessible competitions for everyone at De Bongerd riding school. These are organized both by the riding school itself and also annually by the events committee.
These are competitions organized throughout the Netherlands by our sister associations. Everyone can participate. The stake is ultimately the Dutch Student Championship.
CHIU and SRNC
These are international competitions for experienced riders. Competitions take place throughout Europe and occasionally beyond. The Netherlands can thereby qualify as a team for the world championship for student riders.
