Friends day
With a nice glance back at 'Friends Day', which always gives surprising impressions, I am writing this article.
How often do we riders hear, 'oh horseriding sure, I suppose'. Or 'oh! scary big animals' and so many assumptions about horse riding. Now we knew that somewhere in the year there would be a day when we could invite these people, our friends or acquaintances for an introduction to 'horse and horseback riding', especially on 'Friends Day'. For those who are often not allowed to ride with us, are given the opportunity to try what we do at our equestrian center 'de Bongerd'.
With a large group, which was divided into several groups, we let the people experience the 'horse riding'. We did a good job this year! I also brought a buddy of mine with me. He, 'Gino', once sat on a horse as a boy, but was very interested in what it would be like as an adult and after all the great stories, he just got curious. There he went! 'Bumping and bouncing' through the arena, but certainly at ease!
And so more people went before and after him. Some with some experience of the past, and many with 'no clue' what to expect. We, Parafridders, think that's all too good of course, because the cameras were up and running! This resulted in some very funny images for me!
Luckily no flights or crashes, that made the evening even happier! And then there were the well-known remarks afterwards: 'it was not as easy as one had thought beforehand'. Which also represents a piece of wisdom: never go anywhere with a predetermined mindset! ?
After finishing the evening with a bite to eat and a drink, the candidates went home happy and with an experience richer.
I'm curious to see who I can put up next year to make him / her a 'life experience' richer. Do you already have an idea who will have an extra life-experience next year?!
